Brite Space London

Your daily dose of Creativity in the City

7th - 19th October 2014

Good morning everyone. Now I don't know what Monday morning is like for you where you are today but for me it's looking a little bit grey, is raining hard against the window and given that I have quite a few administrative bits and bobs to pop out and do after catching up on some work, is looking altogether very uninviting.

However - do not fear! This morning I've got a great schedule of events to tell you about that I'm pretty sure will brighten up your mornings, afternoons and evenings for the next couple of weeks.

Ignite Your Creativity

Ignite Your Creativity

Starting tomorrow and running until Sunday 19th of October, if you happen to be in London and are able to get yourself down to the Old Street area of town, plus if your feel the need to stretch your creative muscles, then you will find a line up of fantastic talent waiting to help you do just that.

Brite Space London is a unique programme of interactive events designed to advocate creativity and its vibrant culture in the capital.

Whatever your personal passion may be - food, design, fashion, wellbeing, media there's something for everyone. The prices vary from completely free to around ยฃ10 and a lot of the events are taking place early in the morning or after work enabling you to work them in around your working day and ensuring you're able to get involved.

Mix an afternoons raw food masterclass presented by the brilliant Kate Magic with an evening of cocktail tasting by candlelight at the Underground Drinking Club. Or perhaps you need a little balance amidst a crazy working week?  Then why not give yourself a little Midweek Mindfulness and Meditation with a workshop run by the wonderful Inner Space - or grab your furry pal and head out for a little bit of relaxation and Doga with Doga UK.

Alongside the numerous interactive events, exercise and ladies and gentleman's pampering days (yep pampering from bohemian plaits and vintage up do's for the girls to tips on how to maintain your moustache for the guys!) you will also find a number of interesting debates, panels and discussions.

I have my eye on the Womanthology talk 'Doing It Your Way' this Friday morning with Fiona Tatton. Fiona will discuss how to improve your work-life balance and find your professional passion, learning how to follow your dreams whilst embracing the uniqueness of you and harness your own talents and abilities. Sounds like an event worth tuning into.

You can also take part in a debate with The Dalstonist and some of the leading lights from East Londonโ€™s creative industries. Learn more about launching a creative business whilst getting input from people behind some of the most successful start-ups in the creative arena.

So that's just a teeny sample of some of what you can expect to get involved in over the next week or so. I'm personally very excited and will do my best to get along to as much as I can - I will report back here on my findings!

If you fancy heading along then check out what's on offer and make your reservations and bookings here. If you learn something new and exciting then please do tell and share! I'd love to hear all about your experiences.

Well Happy Monday everyone and whatever you're up to, as always, have a wonderful week.
