"Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!"
Ok, ok I know it's still the bank holiday for some of us and therefore this post may be a little premature for anyone still well into the party mode.
However for those of you nursing your woes today from over indulgence this weekend perhaps this post will deliver two remedies that might help bring you back to someone or something resembling vaguely normal!
These are a couple of go to products that I use to help bring me back to life when I'm feeling a little under the weather or worse for wear. Aside from the usual best practices of getting lots of rest and drinking my fill of water, if I'm feeling able enough to move from my bed then I will also turn to these little wonders for a pick me up.
First up the Twinings Detox Tea - pop the kettle on and brew up one of these little babies! It promises to 'purify and restore' with its infusion of lemon peel, lemon myrtle and milk thistle.
I do like herbal teas - I've mentioned them before for the benefits of sleep in a previous post here. I don't know if this detox tea really benefits you anymore than a good glass of water would but it does perk you up, is pleasant enough to drink unlike some herbal joys, and I think it's just nice to feel you're making an effort to restore yourself. It's an enjoyable remedy for a night of excess.
Whilst the kettle is boiling and the teabag is stewing why not run a nice hot bath and drizzle in a little drop of the Elemental Herbology Detox Bath Oil. Priced at £20 a bottle it is a bit of a treat but a little bit goes a long way and my bottle has lasted me for ages.
I bring this out on many occasions, overindulgences or general ills. It has blend of a number of essential oils including Grapefruit, Juniper Berry and Rosemary and helps to stimulate and energise even when you're really struggling to perk yourself up. It makes you feel good and goes a small way to restoring your general misfortunes!
So if you're feeling a bit under the weather or have just pushed your luck with the partying this weekend then why not give one or both of these a go and see if you can't overhaul your general wellbeing before heading back to the office on Monday (or Tuesday!) morning.
Feel better and have a happy Sunday!
