Well Friday is almost over and the weekend is now most definitely upon us.
Today I thought I'd bring a little colour to the current cold climate here in the UK! Last night I visited a little place near London Waterloo station that I have frequented on a couple of previous occasions and was reminded just how fun of a place it can be to while away a few hours with friends and some very tasty food. So I thought it was time to share my love for the lively Cubana here on the blog today.
Located on Lower Marsh street just a hop, skip and a jump away from Waterloo station this hustling little bar and restaurant will take you away from the snowy streets of London and transport you away to sunnier climes.
Perhaps a little rough around the edges but brimming with colourful charm this place is somewhere that you're guaranteed to have a great time. Find your spot in the bustling atmosphere with delicious food, a mountain of mojitos and friendly and accommodating staff. It gets busy so book a spot if you want to ensure a place to eat your meal, or you could just join them for happy hour, grab a jug of your favourite cocktail and enjoy a moment of fun with colleagues and friends!
The food is fresh and tasty, resonant of old Cuba with Cuban, Creole and Latin American influences and all at a really very reasonable price. We were a party of 16 and our meal came to £30 per head which included numerous shared starter plates, a main each and quite a few jugs of their special mixed cocktails - so all in all not too bad for a Thursday night out in London.
Such a fun place to visit that always takes me away for the evening for a little escapism and unpretentious fun. There is often live music and you can certainly while away a few hours quite easily in this relaxed and friendly setting. It really never fails to disappoint if you're looking for somewhere easy going and fun. Like I say it does get very busy - but in all honesty that's all part of the hustle and the fun!
