“You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.”
This Friday, on the International Day of Happiness, I thought it only fitting to try and bring a little motivation ahead of the weekend with some reasons to seize the day, be happy and live with no regrets.
I suddenly realised this week that this little old blog of mine has reached its very first birthday! Just a little over a year ago I was teetering on the edge of my seat, uncertain fingers poised over the keyboard, wondering whether or not to press publish on my first ever post.
Filled with so many questions. Will it be good enough? Will anyone read it? Will everyone laugh at me? Plus all sorts of other things in between.
However I can happily say, one year in, that starting this blog has given me a personal sense of achievement especially in terms of how much happiness, learning, confidence (and yes at times a little stress!) it has bought me.
I know this isn't the first time that I've mentioned such a topic here on the blog, but today seemed like a great day to bring it up again and to say to people that if you have something that's burning away inside of you but a fear of failure, a desire for too much perfection, a tendency toward procrastination or just a general trepidation of putting yourself out there is holding you back, fight it and go forward without regret.
To add to today's sense of wellbeing and motivation I've rounded up some of my favourite posts from around the web that I hope you'll enjoy and that I hope will lift your spirits. Have a lovely weekend everyone and enjoy!
